Will make full-length feature directorial debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Rohit Roy has signed on as a director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production house. He has inked a three-film deal with them.
The actor-director tells us how the deal went down, “Over a year ago, Bhansali called me to say that he liked the way I directed Rice Plate. I am excited that I will soon be directing my first full-length feature for a filmmaker like him. It took so long because I didn’t have a script. Now, SLB has himself zeroed in on two scripts and I will be directing one of those films. it’s a dream come true.”
What we know is that it will be a love story. The details are being worked on. In the next three months, they will start locking the cast and the film will roll by the end of this year. Rohit won’t be acting in the film. “Not in the first one at least. I want to concentrate on directing. I might make an appearance the way Alfred Hitchcock did,” he says.
Rohit, who was last seen in Kaabil, has been getting a lot of acting offers, too. He has been approached for a big TV show.
