Favourite Books
Fountain Head…. loved the character of the lead Howard Roark… idolized him till such time that I realized that his kind of human being wouldn’t last a day in the real world… but all the same all my growing years I tried to live with his principles and that is probably the reason why I am the way I am today… I don’t remember the entire book clearly but I still remember him…
Stone for Danny Fisher is another book I loved… it left an indelible impression on my mind and I hope to make a film on it one day….

Favourite Films
There are so many… but amongst my top picks would be Rebel Without a Cause . . . I have seen the film a 1000 times or more… I loved James Dean and the whole film… I am sure all teenagers go through that phase of utter disgust with the system and his parents… when people thought I was aping Big B in Swaabhimaan it was actually James Dean!!!!

Another favourite is Deewar… I remember my dad who was a huge fan of the Big B took us for this film and I loved it… today as an actor I feel this is one of the best Indian screenplays ever… it seduces the audience from beginning to the end…

Arth is another favourite… I loved the story and all the edgy performances and have been a fan of Mahesh Bhatt since that day…nobody in India tackles relationships as well as Mahesh Bhatt

My recent favourite is a film called Zinda… I cant believe that someone from the Indian subcontinent has made such a film. . . its technically brilliant and the performances of all the lead players is of high quality… its still ahead of its time… and the music of a dark film like Zinda is extra ordinary…

Favourite Passion
Cinema, cinema, cinema…. I don’t love or lust for anything as I do for films… as a child I used to love watching films and as an adult I love everything else about it… I live dream eat sleep cinema… I want to be involved with every aspect of motion pictures and pray to god that I die with my film making boots on…

Cricket
I am passionate about cricket. Not only I follow the matches closely, but I also love playing the game. Like every Indian, I too am a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar. But my all-time favourites are Imran Khan and Sunil Gavaskar. I even have a signed cap from Gavaskar
