Rohit Roy couldn’t have had it better. He was at the IIFA awards in Dubai last week for the launch of his films.

“It was a fantastic experience. Three of my films have been launched at the IIFA – Sivaji Ganeshan Productions’ ‘Delhi Heights’, Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Alibaug’. But the biggest high was Amitabh Bachchan launching them,” he reveals.
Rohit adds, “In ‘Delhi Heights’ my co-actors are Jimmy Shergill, Simone Singh and Neha Dhupia. It’s based on relationships.” The actor is also doing Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Honeymoon’.

Back home Rohit is busy with ‘Viraasat’ (Star Plus) and ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ (Zee). “The role in ‘Viraasat’ is something I’ve never attempted before. The body language is different and I have changed my look. I am a perfectionist.”

He adds, “We have a huge star cast with Aman Verma, Amarr Upadhyay and Sangita Ghosh. In such a situation, to hold your own is a difficult task.”

Apart from ‘Viraasat’, Rohit has also replaced anchor and singer Shaan in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’.

“I was not sure whether I’d be able to host the show. Shaan is very popular and he shared a great rapport with the contestants. But the producer and Shaan convinced me that I’d be able to carry it off. I am glad that I have been able to fill in the place comfortably.”

The actor also plans to start his production house Magicworks with wife Manasi Joshi by the end of this year.
